Architect Bill Bocken combines historic charm with modern touches in his 8,300-square-foot home in Point Loma. The beautifully renovated property overlooks the source of Bocken’s design inspiration – the sparkling blue water and the surrounding San Diego Yacht Club. San Diego Home and Garden featured the home this past February in an article titled, “Southern California Romantic.”
The stunning renovation reflects a relaxed Southern California lifestyle, emphasizing natural light, scenic views, and the outdoors. Originally built in 1935, the home boasts three levels, six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a media room, gym, and wine room. Urban Lighting sourced the side table lights in the master bedroom, providing a touch of contemporary style. Homes of the Year judge Jennifer Bolyn says, “The interiors material selection, cabinet design and furniture all work to complement the home’s original historic Spanish design, while introducing modern elements.”
